Hoover's, Inc. announced the latest updates to its application programming interface, Hoover's API 3.2. The new version gives Hoover's API customers access to news and the ability to download and purchase contact information directly from custom workflows.

The American Institute of Physics announced the release of its online discovery platform, Scitation C3. The new platform is powered by the Atex Polopoly CMS, which was originally adopted by AIP in 2008. According to AIP, the adoption of Atex Polopoly was a key factor in its ability to quickly deploy Scitation C3.

A new agreement between Credo Reference and SAGE Reference nearly doubles the size of the SAGE Reference Collection on Credo, bringing it from 68 titles to 125. All SAGE Reference titles published since 2000 are now available on the platform, with all materials published for the remainder of 2010 and 2011 to follow.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, committed to constructing the first online digitized presidential archive, will undertake the project with assistance from Endeca Technologies, Inc. Endeca will provide the technical and software assistance required to establish search capabilities at the archives' website.

Multimedia weather information site AccuWeather.com announced a collaboration with ADC WorldMap in which the Appleton, Wisc.-based digital cartographers will power the AccuWeather.com suite of web-based and mobile forecasts with the ADC WorldMap Digital Atlas mapping technology. The first product to receive the ADC WorldMap backdrop will be the AccuWeather.com mobile site, with AccuWeather.com's other mobile apps and widgets to receive ADC support in the future.

Infogroup, a provider of resources for targeted sales and marketing solutions, announced its acquisition by affiliates of CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC, along with a new executive leadership team and Board of Directors. Clare Hart, who most recently served as president of the Dow Enterprise Media Group, has been named Infogroup's president and CEO. Rich Zannino, CCMP's Managing Director, will serve as the chairman of Infogroup's new Board of Directors.

A merger agreement between EDGAR Online, Inc., and UBmatrix, Inc. resulted in the creation of a global end-to-end provider of solutions for the creation, validation and analysis of extensible business reporting language (XBRL) content. Under the terms of the merger, UBmatrix will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDGAR Online.
