EBSCO Publishing and the American Psychological Association (APA) have forged an agreement through which rich APA content will appear on the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). The APA resources that will appear on EDS are PsycARTICLES, PsycBOOKS, and PsycCRITIQUES.

LexisNexis revealed a new Analytics tool for its LexisNexis PatentOptimizer, which allows attorneys and in-house counsels to identify detailed aspects of entire patent portfolios, hidden trends, and ranked language variations, among other criteria. Legal professionals, LexisNexis reports, will be able to use this tool in order to analyze specific clusters of patent records at a detailed level, and also develop specifically-tailored patent applications.

365 Media launched UPTIME, a web-based application that analyzes business news across the public web, identifies company and executive changes, and writes them to data automatically. Data owners can register online, upload a subject database, and then track changes as they occur.

Project MUSE announced that nine university presses have signed on to participate in its plan to offer ebook collections alongside its ejournal collections. Among these new participants are the Catholic University of America Press, Georgetown University Press, and Syracuse University Press.

Oxford University Press (OUP) reached an agreement with EBSCO Publishing in which OUP will make its content available through the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). Users will be able to search OUP using EDS's interface, simplifying the research process.

Ingram Content Group signed an agreement with Springer in which Springer will receive a new integrated services model for distribution. The new model will combine traditional physical book distribution with single-copy, print-on-demand services for Springer's entire Americas publishing program.

Elsevier has launched Article-Based Publishing, a new publishing model that allows articles to be published as citable without having to wait for the completion of the journal issue that they're set to appear in. The model was created in response to the increased prevalence of online publishing and the need for publishing focused on individual articles rather than traditional print-based issues.

The Consortium Directory, originally published by Frontline GMS Ltd will become available as an online database in partnership with Ringgold Inc, creating a unique resource for the information industry. The new Directory, renamed the Consortium Directory Online (CDO) will include over 600 library consortia in 100 countries.

Online reference library Credo Reference is adding a Publisher Collection from Ashgate. Fifteen comprehensive specialty titles will soon be available on the Credo Reference platform. Capital IQ, a division of McGraw-Hill Standard & Poor's business unit, announced an agreement to acquire TheMarkets.com, a competitor in the financial data and analytics market. Financial terms were not disclosed for the transaction, although the Wall Street Journal reported that the transaction was conducted for $300 million based on unidentified sources.

Serials Solutions announced the integration of content from Thomson Reuters' Web of Science with its own Summon information discovery service. The integration will enable the display of citation counts in Summon search results for ISI Web of Knowledge SM subscribers, which will help researchers identify the highest-impact articles in a given search.

OECD has launched OECD iLibrary, a new research platform allowing for comprehensive access to statistics, books, journals, and working papers. OECD iLibrary replaces SourceOECD, and OECD reports that the new platform will host all content equally so that users are able to cite tables and databases as easily as chapters and articles.
