Clearwire announced the election of John W. Stanton as chairman of the board. Stanton will replace Craig O. McCaw, who resigned in December. Stanton has been with the company since 2008 and previously served as managing director of Trilogy Partners LLC, as well as chairman and CEO of Western Wireless Corporation prior to its acquisition by ALLTELL.

Drug database provider First DataBank is appointing Karl Matuszewski to serve as vice president of clinical and editorial knowledge base services. Dr. Matuszewski will guide editorial policy for the company's databases. He most recently worked at Gold Standard/Elsevier, where he served as vice president and editor-in-chief, in which capacity he was the senior clinical drug informatics content officer.

Credo Reference is appointing Carl Helton as vice president of worldwide sales. Helton has an extensive background in the information and software industries, having led sales efforts for several business units at Wolters Kluwer, eventually serving as vice president of sales, clinical solutions. She has also held executive positions at MEDecision and ZeOmega.
