Web.com Group Inc. appointed Deborah H. Quazzo to its Board of Directors. Quazzo is the co-founder of the NeXtAdvisors merchant bank and has a 25 year career in investment banking and entrepreneurialship. She also serves on the boards of Teach for America, Chicago and America's Promise Alliance.
Infogroup is bringing aboard a new chief product officer and vice president of emerging business. Gemma Postlethwaite will take over as CPO, leading the product, data, and emerging business strategy for the company. She most recently served as a member of the markets division of Thomson Reuters as global head of alliance and commercial strategy for the investment and advisory unit. Lou Paglia is also joining the company as VP of emerging business, coming to the company from MTV Networks, where he likewise served as vice president. Paglia has also held positions with SnagAJob.com and Factiva.
Nirvanix appointed Steve Zivanic as its new vice president of marketing. Zivanic has 12 years of experience in global marketing and most recently served as director of corporation communications at QLogic. He has also held positions with DataDirect Marketing and Hitachi.
EMC Corporation is making William 'BJ' Jenkins the president of its backup recovery systems division, where he most recently held the position of chief of staff for the division. Jenkins replaces Frank Slootman, who served as president since 2009. Jenkins has more than 15 years of IT experience, and has previously held positions with companies including Accenture and Snow River Products.
