Secure-24 named Joe Szmadzinski as the company's new chief strategy officer. Szmadzinski has 20 years of experience in the industry, and previously held the position of consulting partner at KPMG and PwC, formerly Coopers and Lybrand. He has also held several executive positions with other companies, including CEO, CIO, and COO.

Mark Logic appointed Ken Bado as CEO. Bado most recently held the position of executive vice president of sales and services at Autodesk, where he worked for 8 years under former Autodesk CEO Carol Bartz. Prior to Autodesk, Bado worked for 11 years at Mentor Graphics in a variety of sales, marketing, and customer support services.

Geek and technology culture site manager Geeknet, Inc. is appointing Jeffrey Dobrick as CEO of the company's media division, which includes sites such as Slashdot and Sourceforge. Drobick spent the past 12 years with eBay, most recently as vice president of customer service technology solutions. Drobick held a variety of positions at eBay in product development responsible for analytic infrastructure, user behavioral insight, and advertising technology.
