uSamp named Chuck Miller as its new chief research officer. Miller also serves as the president of DMS Insights, which uSamp acquired from AOL in June. Miller helped found DMS in 1995 and is a former chair of the graduate school advisory board for the University of Wisconsin's AC Nielsen Center for Marketing Research.

uSamp is also naming DMS executive Melanie Courtright as vice president of client services. Courtright filled the role of VP of Marketing at DMS, and currently serves on the Marketing Research Association's Education Workgroup. Courtright is also a director for Southwest MRA.

Twitter hired a pair of social media veterans to serve as directors of sales for two of its regions. Dan Coughlin, formerly director of media sales for Facebook, will join Twitter as its director of sales for the eastern United Startes. Coughlin has also held positions with marketWatch and DoubleClick. Joining Twitter as the director of sales for the western United States is Amanda Levy, who most recently oversaw West Coast sales at Yelp.

David Chivers was appointed Dow Jones & Company's vice president for Factiva products. Chivers has served as executive director of WSJ.com and new products for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, where he was responsible for a variety of online content and social media initiatives. Prior to working with the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Chivers held the position of director of online audience development for Meredith Corporation.

Sajan, Inc. is bringing aboard Tim Clayton as its chief financial officer. Clayton has over 30 years of experience in various fields, and was the founding principal of Emerging Capital, as well as having held positions at Building One Services Corporation and Price Waterhouse. Clayton holds a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University and is also a certified public accountant.
