i2s Digibook introduced e-Scan, a stand alone station that offers self-service scanning for the public market. The kiosk allows for the scanning of any kind of book and bound document including fragile documents. With self-service scanning, the user places the book on the face-up scanner, launches the scan using the touch screen, and leaves the library with the digital document on a USB key. The document can also be saved on a FTP, transferred to a network or printed. e-Scan allows users to obtain scans of books or bound documents up to A3++ format (520mm X 360 mm). It is equipped with a 15" touch screen, with real-time preview and completed scanned displayed.
