ebrary, a ProQuest business, will offer two new subscription products in Employee Development and Human Resources in an effort to assist libraries with strategic ebook acquisitions. The Employee Development database will cover topics such as business communication, strategic thinking, and creativity. The Human Resource database will cover recruitment, retention, training and development, and corporate diversity.
The company says these new databases will enable corporate libraries to expand access to a critical mass of ebooks to researchers and employees around the world. ebrary's on-staff librarians will select the materials for this new database.
ebrary, a ProQuest business, announced Extended Access for titles purchased under a single-user license. Extended Access is intended to reduce up-front costs to the library, eliminate speculative purchases of multiple copies, and prevent turn-aways when titles are in use.
ebrary has announced the company's ebook collection, College Complete, is about to get a lot bigger with the acquisition of over 1,000 new ebook titles. The collection, designed for community and career colleges, will be adding titles from publishers such as John Wiley & Sons, Packt Publishing, and Emerale Group Publishing.
