eMotion Announces New Platform for On-Demand DAM

eMotion, a provider of hosted solutions for managing and distributing digital media assets and marketing content, has announced the immediate availability of eMotion 6.0, the latest generation of the company's suite of on-demand solutions designed to enhance an organization's ability to maximize its rich media assets.

eMotion 6.0 features a number of significant advances, including a new Web services architecture and a modular design, providing each company a custom, targeted solution. At the core of the new platform is a Web-based digital asset management (DAM) system with a natural language search engine. The solution allows users to store and organize photography, video, audio, logos, presentations, brochures, and documents, while the natural language search makes it possible for users to find virtually any digital asset. With eMotion 6.0, corporations can distribute marketing materials more efficiently across dispersed offices, sales teams and vendors, and have the ability to enforce and ensure brand consistency around the globe.

The added features also include advanced security and controlled access features, giving customers the ability to track and deploy their library of digital media assets, while allowing secure access for users around the world. eMotion's permissions structure enables granularity down to individual assets and users for security and flexibility. Additionally, eMotion 6.0 introduces a set of software plug-ins for Quark Xpress and Adobe InDesign, page layout applications. The new modules include: CreativePartner, which is a project-based collaboration and media annotation tool for use in speeding up and simplifying the review and approval of creative work in progress; AdBuilder, a dynamic document generation engine that enables user-customization of a document within pre-established brand guidelines; Presentation Builder, which enables users to create and manage PowerPoint presentations built within controlled brand guidelines; Logo Dispenser, which enables the delivery of brand identity elements through a defined decision tree; Color Management, which allows organizations to produce branded products in a color managed environment; Page Layout Workflow, which provides access to the full eMotion library of digital media assets within page layout applications such as Quark Xpress and Adobe InDesign; and Digital Watermarking and Tracking, which allows eMotion customers to track images being used in ways that don't conform to rights granted.
