de Borchgrave Named Interim Editor-in-Chief of UPI

The Board of Directors of United Press International (UPI) has appointed Arnaud de Borchgrave as interim Editor-in-Chief. De Borchgrave, currently Editor-at-Large of UPI, will act as Editor-in-Chief effective August 7, 2003 until a permanent replacement can be named for John O'Sullivan, who resigned on July 22, 2003. While he is serving as UPI's Editor-In-Chief, Arnaud will be continuing his duties as Transnational Threats Director and Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) as well as Editor-at-Large for The Washington Times.
