anacubis has announced the immediate availability of anacubis Desktop 2.0, a visual research and analysis tool. Designed to give business users instant analysis, anacubis Desktop 2.0 is a visual analysis tool that transforms information drawn from structured data sources into a dynamic graphical map that highlights the relationships and links buried in the data. The results of this research can then be manipulated and analyzed using analysis features.

Based on technology that has helped law enforcement and intelligence organizations reveal patterns and relationships buried in large collections of data, anacubis Desktop 2.0 is designed to enable business users to retrieve, consolidate, and analyze information from Web sites, internal databases, spreadsheets, business information vendors, and other enterprise applications. With anacubis Desktop 2.0, this information is transformed into icons and links that show how companies, people, intellectual property and news are related.

anacubis Desktop 2.0 is accompanied by anacubis' domain-specific analysis Add-in for visual research and analysis. The Intellectual Property (IP) Analysis Add-in is designed to enable professionals to dissect large amounts of patent information. It automates a range of common patent analysis tasks, providing citation and inventor, timeline, and link analysis. anacubis is also working on further domain-specific Add-ins which will available later this year.

Features of anacubis Desktop 2.0 include: HTML Interpreter and Microsoft Excel Importer--Users can draw information from different sources of structured data and can copy HTML-based information from Web sites or export information from Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and drop it into the anacubis Desktop view. Connect to Enterprise Data--anacubis Connect links Desktop 2.0 to corporate data from CRM, ERP, and CI systems. A New Look--anacubis Desktop 2.0 features a new interface with access to more types of analysis and more information sources, including a Task Pane, which uses a step-by-step guide for data interpretation.

anacubis Desktop 2.0 is available to download for a free 10-day trial and purchase online. A single user license is $1,950. The Intellectual Property Analysis Add-in is available for $750 per year including all product updates.
