Xythos Secures $4 Million in Series C Funding

Xythos Software, an Internet file management software provider, has closed a $4 million Series C funding round led by IDG Ventures and Mobius Venture Capital. The San Francisco based software company also announced updated versions of its WebFile Server and WebFile Client products designed to improve enterprise content security and collaboration.

The new versions of its WebFile Server and WebFile Client software are a result of its focus to provide enhanced tools to automate and simplify the integration of simple content management and collaboration with customer's existing authentication and security standards. The new WebFile Server's user model wizards are designed to automate integration with LDAP and Microsoft's Active Directory helping organizations centrally manage access to enterprise content and improving their ability to track information usage and provide compliance reports. New features included in the Xythos product upgrades include: WebFile Server: A new Web user interface; SMB/CIFS server support; Enhanced administrative management; and Automated Zip download. WebFile Client: Improved WebFile server and email client integration and Enhanced Intellittach performance.
