Workshare Document Management Software Enters Beta

Workshare, a developer of document collaboration software, announced the beta program for a new document and email management product, which amplifies the enterprise content management capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint 2010. The product, a collaboration platform targeted towards law firms, allows lawyers to manage documents and email from within their own Microsoft Office applications.

Some other features of the collaboration platform include email management and matter filing to SharePoint 2010 from within Microsoft Outlook, integration of Workshare Professional for document comparison and PDF management, and extensive search functionality. Workshare plans to fully unveil the new product at the International Legal Technology Association conference on Aug. 23 in Las Vegas.
