Wolters Kluwer Law and Business, a provider of research products and software solutions in legal and compliance specialty areas, has announced the launch of an online service for professionals working in the international litigation arena--KluwerLitigation. WKHealth has announced a partnership with InterSystems Corporation.

Produced by Kluwer Law International, the new service provides insights into commercial litigation procedure in nearly 50 countries with explanations of the courts, judiciary, and local legal processes. KluwerLitigation also includes national reports written by arbitration experts that provide information on the arbitration law and practice of more than 60 countries. Also on the site, professionals will find commentary, case law including International Council of Commercial Arbitration materials, and instruments, which provide the user with an overview of litigation and enforcement in each jurisdiction. The service's coverage is comprised of content from three established works by experts in international litigation: Encyclopedia of International Commercial Litigation, edited by Sir Anthony Colman; Enforcement of Foreign Judgments, edited by Louis Garb and Julian D.M.Lew; International Encyclopedia of Laws: Civil Procedure, edited by Prof. Dr. Piet Taelman. KluwerLitigation also includes the full text of the four main conventions covering commercial litigation--Brussels Convention, Evidence Convention, New York Convention, Service Convention--as well as all EC Regulations.

Through the Web site, users can access information on a range of commercial litigation including contractual claims; claims for damages under charterparties; claims relating to bank deposits; claims to enforce foreign judgments and arbitration awards; claims or orders freezing assets; admiralty claims; and claims for breach of copyright and trademarks. Users of KluwerLitigation will also be able to browse and search information on the following areas: Choice of law; International jurisdictions; Recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and awards; Arbitration clauses; Litigation concepts, strategies, and techniques; Classifications; Consecutive stages of proceedings discovery; Forum selection; Jurisdiction clauses; Limitations periods; Obtaining evidence; Placing international commercial litigation in context; Pleading, proof, application and exclusion in foreign law; Special remedies; and Substance and procedures.
