Wolters Kluwer Germany Acquires LexisNexis Deutschland

Wolters Kluwer Germany Holding GmbH announced that it will acquire LexisNexis Deutschland GmbH. The transaction, which Wolters Kluwer Germany says will expand its online legal services portfolio, is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of the year. Financial terms are not being disclosed.

This marks the latest such acquisition for Wolters Kluwer Germany, which has been expanding its portfolio in the German market for the last 25 years. LexisNexis Deutschland is an information and knowledge management provider specializing in legal services in the law and business sector of Germany. Its publishing brands include ZAP.

In related news, Wolters Kluwer Law & Business released QuickCharts, an add-on tool for subscriptions of the CCH Federal Securities Law Reporter and the CCH Federal Banking Law Reporter. The tool allows users to select and review elements such as added, amended, and repealed laws; effective dates; and new agency guidance, opinions, rules and regulations.
