Windows 8, which is slated to launch in October, is rumored to be operable on devices aside from desktops, laptops, and tablets, such as smartphones, e-readers, and smart TVs, according to reports from SlashGear. One such rumor adds that Windows 8 dedicated e-readers using the Metro UI are in the works, which, according to SlashGear, means that users would interact with the Metro user interface and that interface would be common across all Microsoft-powered devices. A consumer preview of Windows 8 is available at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/consumer-preview.
