Wiley-Blackwell,the scientific, technical, medical, and scholarly publishing business of JohnWiley & Sons, Inc., has announced a relaunch in January 2008 of an enhancedversion of its evidence-based medicine (EBM) content resource InfoPOEMs withInfoRetriever under the new name Essential Evidence Plus. Essential EvidencePlus will continue to feature InfoPOEMs, the highly-regarded daily EBM contentalerting service, and the robust EBM search application formerly known asInfoRetriever. EBM Guidelines is produced by the Finnish Medical SocietyDuodecim and includes a concise, easy-to-use collection of more than 950Practice Guidelines, more than 3,000 Evidence Summaries, and more than 1,000images. Wiley-Blackwell will add e-Essential Evidence to the Essential EvidencePlus suite during the first quarter of 2008. Wiley acquired InfoPOEM, Inc., aprovider of evidence-based medical content and web-based search tools, inOctober 2005.
