WebFeat Launches Partnership Program for Content Providers

Oct 27, 2006

WebFeat, developer of the WebFeat and WebFeat Express Search Prisms, has launched the WebFeat Friendly Partnership Program for content providers. Through the WebFeat Friendly program, WebFeat and each partner content provider work together to ensure that the partner's databases are optimized for use with the federated search engine. Content providers who have already joined the WebFeat Friendly Partnership Program (and/or who are XML Gateway partners) include ABC-CLIO, Alexander Street Press, ARTstor, EBSCO, Elsevier, Facts on File, H.W. Wilson, IEEE, JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis, Naxos, NewsBank, and Thomson Gale. The WebFeat Friendly program is designed to streamline the process of building and maintaining WebFeat systems. WebFeat Friendly partners' databases can be configured using the new Express version of WebFeat's Administrative Console (WAC). Additionally, WebFeat and its WebFeat Friendly partners maintain a technology relationship intended to optimize performance and uptime.
