Wantlet Launches U.S. Social Shopping Site

Mar 17, 2011

Social shopping company Wantlet officially launched its site for North American users at the SXSW festival. The company's socially facilitated commerce service, which already has a strong presence in Europe according to the company, is designed to solve the problem of having to go to multiple sites to research products and deals and provides advice from users and advertisers.

Consumers can use Wantlet to manage their "wants" for products and services, and the service will then help them find deals, coupons, and sales for services or products they have expressed an interest in. Meanwhile, retailers and brands can use Wantlet to create targeted advertising for consumers that already want their products and services.

Founded in 2007, Wantlet is headquartered in Oulu, Finland.
