BEST PRACTICES SERIES

Endeavor Information Systems and the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, UK, have announced the selection of both the ENCompass for Resource Access system for providing access to e-resources and search capabilities and the LinkFinderPlus OpenURL-enabled link resolver. ENCompass will provide resource management and discovery options to accompany the University's 1999 purchase of the Voyager integrated library management system. Endeavor's digital systems are being integrated with StudyNet, the University's managed learning environment, to bring electronic content and increased access to information directly to the student's desktop. With Endeavor's digital systems, the Hertfordshire Learning and Information Services intend to provide user-oriented access to the library's collections of printed and digital information resources. ENCompass for Resource Access and LinkFinderPlus will allow the University to integrate local and remote e-resources, campus materials, and the library OPAC.
