SequenceBase Corporation and FIZ Karlsruhe have launched The USPTO Genetic Sequence Database, USGENE on STN. USGENE is a resource for freedom-to-operate, prior-art, validity, and patent infringement searches and complements STN’s range of prestigious biosequence databases. USGENE covers available peptide and nucleic acid sequences from the published applications and issued patents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office from 1982 to date. Single-click full-text links from USGENE sequence records to USPTO original documents on the web are available to all searchers using STN Express and STN on the Web. From August to September 2007 each STN loginID holder will can take advantage of an introductory offer for USGENE usage.
