U.S. Patent & Trademark Office Selects GeoLearning LMS

GeoLearning, Inc., a provider of ASP-delivered learning management systems and elearning content, has announced that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) has selected the GeoMaestro learning management system and elearning delivery platform to manage agency-wide elearning. The USPTO elearning program is part of the federal government's Gov Online Learning Center e-Training Initiative. The deployment of GeoLearning's hosted LMS solution will provide USPTO employees with access to career development resources, including more than 50 elearning courses on business skills, information security, desktop computer applications, and IT certifications. The GeoMaestro LMS offers registration, tracking, and reporting functionality for the delivery and strategic management of learning, development, and knowledge acquisition. The GeoLearning LMS is also compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires all federal agencies to implement information technology accessible to persons with disabilities. The Gov Online Learning Center (GOLC) at www.golearn.gov, which is also powered by GeoLearning's GeoMaestro LMS, provides access to e-training services for more than 1.8 million people employed by the federal government. The e-Training Initiative and GOLC is an effort by the Office of Management & Budget and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to simplify and unify e-training services across federal government and is one of 24 e-government initiatives that support President George W. Bush's Management Agenda.
