GeoLearning, Inc., a provider of managed learning services and hosted learning platforms, has announced that the United States Department of the Interior (DOI), the federal government's principal conservation agency, has selected the GeoMaestro learning management suite to manage enterprise-wide human capital performance via the Internet. The year-long contract includes an option for DOI to renew each year for four years.

In addition to the GeoMaestro learning management system (LMS), DOI will also deploy the following GeoLearning modules: Learning Content Management System (LCMS) to develop, manage, and deliver custom learning content; GeoConnect to power live Web conferencing; Web-based Class & Event Scheduler to manage traditional instructor-led training; GeoLearning Analytics to measure learning impact and return on investment; CompetencyPlus to administer performance management, link individual competency gaps to learning and development, and implement competency-based HR processes; Online Product Library System to manage physical inventory of training materials; Electronic SF-182 process to automate requests, authorizations, agreements and certification of training; and Ecommerce engine. GeoLearning will also provide Internet hosting, security, and maintenance services, vendor mangement, and 24x7 Help Desk support for DOI employees as part of the learning services contract. The DOI program is part of the federal government's Gov Online Learning Center e-Training Initiative.
