Wondering what today's weather will be like? Then it's time to check Twitter, because the social media site has struck a deal with The Weather Channel, according to AllThingsD. Now, when weather-related activity starts to heat-up on Twitter, TWC will feed custom content to users.
Twitter users will see video clips of everything from local forecasts to severe-weather coverage all visible from within the stream (meaning, you don't have to follow a link to TWC's site). This is all possible because of Twitter's Card technology, which is getting an upgrade - now allowing app, gallery, and product info to be displayed. Twitter also announced a new Android app, which features enlarged tweets, and the ability to swipe left and right, among other things.
