Thomson Gale, part of The Thomson Corporation, has announced the addition of Tradition Books to its list of publishing partners. With this partnership, Thomson Gale becomes the distributor of Tradition Books' Our Living World: Earth's Biomes set. Print versions are available immediately, while eBook versions will be available in early 2006.

The Our Living World: Earth's Biomes series is a multi-volume set that takes young readers on a tour of the Earth's seven ecosystems: Oceans, Seas and Reefs; Tundra; Rivers, Streams, Lakes and Ponds; Wetlands; Deserts; Grasslands; and Forests. Kids can learn about the plants and animals that make each ecosystem unique. They can also get a glimpse of humanity's effects, both positive and negative, on the habitats of countless creatures. Sidebars, suggested activities, and supplemental reference materials throughout the text contribute to a portrait of our world's natural wonders.

In the fall of 2006, Thomson Gale also will begin distributing the second edition of Tradition's Favorite Children's Authors and Illustrators set. Designed and created for upper-elementary and middle-grade readers, the eight volumes of Favorite Children's Authors and Illustrators profile storytellers, such as 19th-century poet Edward Lear and Newberry Honor author Jack Gantos, through essays. Printed in large type, these essays include lists of selected works, quotes, photos, and sources for further reading.
