Today, comScore, Inc. released its monthly report on the top U.S. Web properties. The report is based on data from the comScore Media Matrix service. Google sites (which includes YouTube) remained the top U.S. web property with 186 million unique visitors for the month of October. Other sites with over 100 million unique visitors were Yahoo! Sites, Microsoft Sites, Facebook.com, AOL, Inc., and Amazon Sites. The order of the top ten sites was unchanged, except for Wikimedia Foundation Sites overtaking Glam Media to earn the ninth spot.

Halloween sites were among the top gaining categories of Web properties outside the Top 50. Lotto and sweepstakes sites ramped up the prizes and the visitors as well, as it was the fastest gaining category according to comScore.
