Thomson Scientific’s ISI Web Of Knowledge Has New Design; Adds Module

Thomson Scientific, part of The Thomson Corporation and provider of information solutions to the worldwide research and business communities, has announced that its ISI Web of Knowledge platform will introduce a new approach to finding, analyzing, and sharing information. The new version, available to customers this summer, will present a new face of research designed to address the demands and research needs of the global user community. ISI Web of Knowledge is an integrated, web-based platform that supports all levels of scientific and scholarly research within academic, corporate, government, or not-for-profit environments.

Thomson Scientific has also announced an addition to its coverage of pharmaceutical markets in Asia and the Pacific rim. The new ASEAN module in the IDRAC database provides regulatory information related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including details of planned harmonization schemes for its pharmaceutical industry. This information for pharmaceutical companies seeking to develop drugs in this region. The optional new ASEAN module provides: explanatory documents covering the background and objectives of the ASEAN community, its organization, language, harmonization process and, regulations; and reference texts covering harmonized guidelines, including ASEAN Common Technical Document (CTD) guidelines. ASEAN member countries are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
