Thomson Gale, a part of The Thomson Corporation, has announced that MARC records are now available for free through the Literature Resource Center. Literature Resource Center is a literature database that provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and analysis on authors from various ages and literary disciplines. Literature Resource Center's most-studied authors MARC records are now available from Thomson Gale.

As a service for librarians, these records can be downloaded for free to the library's OPAC. This enables local and remote library patrons to get information on authors in Literature Resource Center using Thomson Gale's InfoMark technology. InfoMarks are designed to give libraries the ability to securely deliver copyright-cleared information to patrons through a cut-and-paste methodology.

To download the Literature Resource Center most-studied authors MARC records: Go to www.gale.com, click on "Title Lists," Click on "MARC 856 and ASCII Records with InfoMarks," navigate down to Literature Resource Center, download the MARC records, and upload them into your catalog.
