Thomson IP Management Services, a part of Thomson Reuters, Legal, released Thomson IP Manager 3.1, a suite of enterprise-scalable software for intellectual asset management that includes integration to external document management systems for improved collaboration, data sharing, and decision making. Thomson IP Manager enables the electronic management of inventions, patents, trademarks, designs, licensing agreements, and more.

Thomson IP Manager brings together the components for IP management in a centralized repository solution, integrating portfolio data, work flow task management, and LDAP synchronization with corporate user data. With the release of 3.1, users will be able to pull information from their document management system directly into their portfolio management program and share it with decision makers throughout the organization with minimal administration. The new release offers full integration with both Documentum and Interwoven, two document management systems used by Thomson IP Management Services clientele.

The new release features several other system enhancements, including the ability to quickly propagate updates to large sets of records and to configure data entry forms so they are more user-friendly and efficient.
