The Daily Pilot is making some changes to its distribution, and embracing apps. According to its website, the publication has developed apps for iPad, iPhone, and Android devices, and will subsequently print one less physical edition per week. The post also says:

Second, we're making changes to our print edition. The Pilot will be published Wednesdays through Sundays, with the Nov. 6 election day issue being our final Tuesday edition. We will also now feature longer stories on the days that people generally have more time to read them, particularly on weekends.

The Daily Pilot will also change its delivery method. Rather than being included in the Los Angeles Times, it will be distributed for free at standalone racks.
