Taboola Closes Funding Round, Garners Quarter-Billion Video Recommendations

Aug 30, 2011, Inc., an online video recommendation provider, increased its total funding to $15 million after a $9 million B-round of capital investments. The company also surpassed 250 million daily recommendations generated and served to its publishing partners, which include Bloomberg L.P., The New York Times Company, USA TODAY, CNN, and Hearst Communications, Inc.

Taboola offers targeted video recommendations to site visitors in an effort to help online publishers maximize video views, revenue, and user satisfaction. The recommendations are personalized based on Taboola's semantic and behavioral algorithms and are adjusted each time the user reads and article, visits a site's homepage, or watches a video.
