SwetsWise Online Content Adds Eight Publishers

Swets Information Services has recently signed eight new publishers to SwetsWise Online Content. SwetsWise is the Web-based, modular service for the procurement, access, and management of subscriptions and online information. The new publishers are: Academy of Traumatology, American School for Classical Studies at Athens, Austrian Academy of Sciences Press, BC Decker, IAHS Press, Medknow Publications, Palgrave Macmillan, and Pharmacotherapy Publications, Inc.

The Academy of Traumatology (www.traumatologyacademy.org) aims to establish and maintain professionalism and high standards in the field of traumotology. Founded in 1997 the Academy certifies professionals to help the traumatized and accrediting programs that train them according to Academy's standards of practice. The centrepiece of the Academy is its Green Cross Assistance Program and its international journal.

The American School of Classical Studies at Athens (www.ascsa.edu.gr) is a research and teaching institution dedicated to the advanced study of the archaeology, art, history, philosophy, language, and literature of Greece and the Greek world. Established in 1881 the School produces a number of book series as well as the quarterly journal Hesperia.

Austrian Academy of Sciences Press (http://verlag.oeaw.ac.at) is a publisher of scientific monographs, journals, audio-CDs, and reference-works in print and electronic format in Austria. Being the publishing division of the Academy, its publication program focuses on arts and humanities (archaeology, history, linguistics, philology, musicology, numismatics, Asian studies), social sciences, biology, mathematics, physics, and space research.

BC Decker (www.bcdecker.com) produces 25 journals and multimedia products and 40 new books in the medical field each year. BC Decker's journals will shortly be available in SwetsWise Online Content.

IAHS Press (www.cig.ensmp.fr/~iahs/press.htm) is the publishing arm of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, a non-profit organization established in 1922 to support hydrology and hydrologists worldwide. Hydrological Sciences Journal (HSJ), published by IAHS Press, is a forum for original scientific papers on all aspects of hydrology and water resources management, worldwide.

Medknow Publications (www.medknow.com) is a publisher of academic biomedical journals in India. The publishing house provides a range of services for journal publication including electronic manuscript submission and processing to Web development.

Palgrave Macmillan (www.palgrave-journals.com) currently publishes 24 peer-reviewed journals in business & management, politics, economics, and the broad social sciences, including titles such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Feminist Review, Development, and the Journal of the Operational Research Society. In 2005, Palgrave Macmillan will add a number of journals to their list, including Polity, European Political Science, and The Geneva Papers on Risk and Assurance.

Pharmacotherapy (www.accp.com/pharm.php) is a peer-reviewed journal of research and reviews of human pharmacology. As the official journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapy has been published since 1983, and monthly since 1999. The journal regularly publishes Original Research Articles, Research Reports, Reviews of Therapeutics, Practice Insights articles, and Case Reports.
