Springer announced it would work with the Edanz Group, a scientific manuscript editing service, in order to enhance its support for authors. The Edanz Group helps international ESL authors by providing professional editing services prior to publication. Springer and Edanz will hold workshops for scientific authors in regions of the world that do not often publish research in English. Workshops have already been held in Latin America and the Middle East; further workshops are scheduled to be held in Asia, Southern Europe, and the Middle East later this year.

Springer and Edanz plan to add an increasing amount of workshops in 2012. The Springer journal homepages direct authors looking help on language and formal matters to contact Edanz, which offers Springer authors a 10% discount on the cost of scientific editing of their manuscript.
