Springer Science+Business Media has begun digitizing its collection of approximately 65,000 books, some published as far back as the 1840s. The Springer Book Archives project, aimed for completion by the end of 2012, will be available on SpringerLink.

This addition to SpringerLink will boost its catalog to over 100,000 ebooks and includes titles of academic and historic note from authors such as Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr. Springer will present its digital archives at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany next week.
