South River Technologies has announced the release of its GroupDrive File Collaboration Suite, a solution for enterprise file collaboration. GroupDrive is designed to provide users with an easy way to collaborate on files by storing them in a central location, ensuring the most current version and eliminating the need to manually integrate multiple edits. GroupDrive's SimulShare Technology enables multiple users to edit the same file at the same time, by locking one block of a file at a time. GroupDrive integrates directly into the Microsoft Windows operating system, where users can open, edit, and save files within familiar applications. Through an optional browser interface, GroupDrive users can also access documents on the go, via a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or an airport kiosk. GroupDrive provides the ability for users to send links to large files and also supplies an option to log file access, to see when the files were viewed and by whom. GroupDrive is available for purchase as a 10-person license at $800 or at $30 per seat for organizations with 500 or more users. GroupDrive is available for immediate delivery through South River Technologies or its channel of resellers.
