SocialText Raises $3 Million for $6.5 Million Funding Goal

SocialText, an enterprise social software company, has secured $3 million as it looks to raise a $6.5 million third round financing. The company, which makes collaborative wiki platforms for businesses, has backing from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, SAP and the Omidiyar Network, which helped provide $3 million in its second round. Additional funding also comes from Mark Pincus, CEO of Tribe.net; Reid Hoffman, the Chairman of LinkedIn; Joi Ito and Jun Makihara, the CEO and chairman of Japanese venture capital firm Neoteny, respectively; and Director of Social Media at Pure Visibility Edward Vielmetti.
