Six Apart Acquires Ublog

Six Apart, a provider of Weblog tools and creator of the Movable Type and TypePad platforms, has announced its acquisition of Ublog, a French blog software company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not released. Six Apart plans to add Ublog to the Six Apart EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), a subsidiary in control of its international expansion. Ublog founder Loic Le Meur will become EVP and general manager of EMEA. Six Apart has deployed TypePad in Japan, France, and Spain, and expects to launch in Germany next week and in the U.K. by the fall.
