BEST PRACTICES SERIES

Siteworx has created and launched a separate subsidiary around Axiom, its platform for enabling Web communications, commerce, and database functions as part of the enterprise. The new company offers a suite of products that includes two levels of a content management system (CMS), the first being a department-level package where content is not confined to a document and can be published to the Web or other venues.

The second takes the storage and retrieval capability and applies it to an enterprise for integration with other applications, multiple divisions, and organizational silos. Other benefits of the Axiom framework include its modular construction that allows for growth or change in business model, its secure application hosting capability, and its compatibility with contemporary technologies designed to give users a tightly integrated, interactive Web site and associated applications.
