SendtoNews Video Inc. announced it has secured digital distribution rights for the National Hockey League (NHL) short-form digital video content for the 2016-2017 season. SendtoNews’ network of U.S. news publishing partners will now have access to NHL game highlights, interviews, top plays, and other fan interest video content to publish and monetize through their owned and operated online news properties.

The NHL's 2016-17 regular season commenced on October 12, 2016. The 1,230-game regular-season schedule - 82 games per team – will conclude on April 9, 2017, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs would begin immediately thereafter. SendtoNews says it currently generates over 200 million monthly video views through the distribution of exclusive and semi-exclusive content from 75+ sports leagues, including the NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, NCAA and Premier League Soccer.

SendtoNews' sports video content is both VAST and VPAID compliant and the architecture of its video player technologies, as well as its independent analytics partnerships, address market needs for transparency around viewability and invalid traffic.
