Searchmetrics Looks at Impact of Google Penguin 2.0

Search and social analytics specialist, Searchmetrics, has released a list of web sites that have been affected by the May 22, 2013 Google Penguin 2.0 update. This is Google's latest algorithm update in its fight to promote high quality content in search results.

The list of "losers" contains a wide variety of sites, including everything from to Searchmetrics' analysis of losers is based on its SEO Visibility score, which is a measure of how visible a site is in search results against a database of millions of keywords.  

Searchmetrics tracks the organic ranking of millions of keywords every week and calculates the visibility score based on the number of times a domain appears in the search engine results pages (SERPs) across the keyword set; its prominence within those SERPs (a higher ranking equates to a higher visibility score); the competitiveness of the keyword (higher search volumes equate to a higher visibility score).
