SealedMedia Inc., has announced version 3.2 of its document and email security solution for enterprises, which adds deployment, administration, and management functions. Characteristics of SealedMedia 3.2 are designed to make interfacing with other enterprise applications easier, offering smooth deployment, management, and administration of applications as well as usability improvements for sealed documents. For instance NT Authentication provides users with single sign-on functionality and support for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, LDAP, and Active Directory keeps user names and passwords consistent across applications. Integration with Documentum eRoom (Sealed eRoom) is intended to enable secure Web-based collaboration on projects involving confidential information
Other features available in SealedMedia 3.2 include: Password Management--users can change passwords directly from the Unsealer, when online while administrators can enforce password changes when the user first accesses a sealed document; Offline Working and Activity Logging--including the synchronize licenses facility in the Unsealer; Silent Installer--facilitates large centralized deployments by IT departments; Sealer--now includes a tab in the main pane that provide information on who sealed the document, when it was sealed, which classification it was sealed to, where it is stored, and which License Server was used; and Unsealer--additional tabs in the Control Panel provide information on file properties and associated rights the user has to the sealed document being accessed.
