SK&A Information Services, a provider of healthcare information solutions headquartered in Irvine, CA, has released Provider HealthNet, a tool that allows online access to a database of over 2 million healthcare practitioners and decision-makers.

In beta last year, Provider HealthNet is a portal to a relational database of practicing healthcare professionals, with over 610,000 practicing physicians. Phone-verified by SK&A every six months, the database also includes pharmacists, dentists, nurses, PA's, and hospital decision-makers. Provider HealthNet is designed to facilitate a search for access to contact information such as name and address, phone and fax, job titles, specialties, affiliations, license numbers, DEA numbers, and more. Besides viewing or updating sales accounts, Provider HealthNet has other practical applications. It may be used to confirm mailing addresses and phone numbers, recruit professionals for seminars, look up DEA numbers or other identifiers, search for job candidates, or identify which medical group, health system or hospital a physician is affiliated with. Search results are saved and downloaded to Excel.

Provider HealthNet allows integration for Web developers who desire a hosted solution under their private label, and licensing can be structured for flexible single- or multiple-user options. Provider HealthNet is a multi-tier application that delivers the requested information in the format and location where it's needed. The web portal is based on Microsoft's .NET technology, its application is written using ASP and C# development language, and it uses Microsoft's SQL Server backend. SK&A is currently offering a free, 14-day trial of the new tool by registering at the website.
