SDL Acquires Xopus Online XML Editor

Jul 01, 2010

SDL announced the acquisition of Xopus, a developer of online XML editing products. The acquisition was carried out by SDL's Structured Content Technologies division and, according to the company, is meant to address the growing trend of structured authoring tools by technical writers.

Netherlands-based Xopus was founded in 2001. Its editor is designed to be simple and easy to use, in order to help companies deploy XML content editing with a minimum of additional training. The product is directly accessible through a web browser. According to SDL, the company will become part of its Structured Content Technologies division.
