Zoove received a $5 million investment from Rogers Ventures, part of Rogers Communications Inc., to accelerate its StarStar number operations in the U.S. Mike Lee, Vice President of Rogers Ventures, will join Zoove's Board of Directors. The $5 million funding is in addition to the $15 million Series D funding announced in August.

StarStar numbers, introduced in June 2010, are branded vanity mobile numbers designed for marketing campaigns such as billboards, print or online ads, and TV and radio commercials. The brand's mobile app, web page, coupon, videos, and more, can be sent directly to the consumer's mobile phone.

For consumers, there is no extra charge to call a StarStar number; standard voice, data, and messaging charges based on the user's plan will apply if they opt in to receive further information.
