Really Strategies Develops and Launches CMS for F.A. Davis Company

Jun 27, 2003

Really Strategies, an independent content management and publishing solutions firm, recently redesigned health science publisher F.A. Davis Company's Content Management System. F.A. Davis' "Content Browser" is an XML-based content repository and workflow system currently used to facilitate editorial review and the production process for one of its core print and electronic products. Additional titles are targeted for integration in the near future. Really Strategies teamed up with F.A. Davis to conduct a complete analysis of the current system. Really Strategies extracted detailed functional requirements from the analysis phase to architect and develop a completely new system. As a result, the Content Browser system was expanded to manage multiple content repositories, including those comprising non-XML content. Additionally, some tasks previously managed by a database administrator are now managed within the application by the appropriate editor.
