Really Strategies, Inc., an independent content management and publishing solutions consultant, recently completed an assessment of C-SPAN's flagship Web site. C-SPAN requested Really Strategies assist in the planning of the development, architecture, and infrastructure of the next generation of the C-SPAN.org Web site. The current design of C-SPAN.org was launched in March, 2000. Really Strategies evaluated the development involved in producing the current web site, as well as its underlying infrastructure. In addition, Really Strategies reviewed C-SPAN's goals and objectives for its Web site, current site traffic statistics, existing database layouts, and the C-SPAN.org Web site before making recommendations for future enhancements. C-SPAN's New Media Director Chris Long estimates that the redesign will be implemented by January, 2003.
