Merrill Brown, head of RealNetworks' consumer content division, will leave the company in August. Brown, the former MSNBC.com editor-in-chief, joined RealNetworks a year ago to lead the RealOne online audio and video subscription service. RealNetworks has not yet confirmed Brown's departure.

RealNetworks has had other corporate changes in the past few months. Susan Coskey, formerly head of Real's human resources department has also left the company. In May Real announced that CFO Brian Turner was leaving for personal reasons. According to people close to the company, Real CEO Rob Glaser is taking a more active role following the reorganization.
