Dec 07, 2004

Questel•Orbit, a provider of intellectual property information services, and The French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) have announced the release of the Markush Darc Software on a Unix Platform. This new software version, dedicated to the Merged Markush Service (MMS), was developed to offer faster and more flexible searches and to open new intranet and in house capabilities. Merged Markush Service, the structure file jointly produced by INPI and Thomson Scientific, provides a Markush structure coverage with 1,600,000 structures records representing 450,000,000 specific real and prophetic structures. All chemicals are covered from 1983 to present, and, for Pharmaceutical patents, the coverage goes back to 1978. INPI is the French Patent & Trademark Office and the French Register of Commerce & Trade. INPI registers patents, trademarks, industrial designs, and companies and one of its missions is to make information concerning patents, trademarks, designs and companies available.
