ProQuest and The Economist Intelligence Unit Collaborate on New Country Reports Digital Archive

Oct 07, 2014

ProQuest and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) have teamed to create the an online archive of the EIU's global economic analyses - a single source for comprehensive reports and statistical data on approximately 200 countries. Economist Intelligence Unit Country Reports Archive will combine ProQuest's expertise in digitization, search technology, and data manipulation to make nearly a half-century of the EIU's Country Reports and Quarterly Economic Reviews accessible and searchable on the ProQuest platform, improving research outcomes in history, political science, international studies, and economics.

When complete, EIU Country Reports Archive will include 15,000 reports, encompassing quarterly reports from 1952 through 1995, plus regional oil/energy reports from 1971 through 1987. The reports provide economic and political forecasts for countries along with analyses of their key developments and major policies, as well as detailed country-level statistics. EIU Country Reports Archive will debut in November 2014, with approximately 75% of the reports available by the end of the year.  The balance will be added in early 2015.
