ProQuest Unveils Historical Detroit Archive

ProQuest Historical Newspapers is releasing the archives of the Detroit Free Press from the years 1831-1922, a period of time that includes such august events as the Civil War, the introduction of the Ford Model T, and the bulk of Ty Cobb's career with the Detroit Tigers.

The Detroit Free Press archives now available at ProQuest Historical Newspapers allow users to follow the history of Detroit from a small frontier town through its growth into one of the largest cities in the U.S by the early 1900s.
